How many times has this happened, that you feel lonely only
because you don’t have company. When you do want to climb the mountains and
hills, spot a rainbow in the snow or just sit in your tent and enjoy the
wrapped mountains in front of you. While you die for such views, have lots of
friends, but no one wants you. When timings don’t match, or well, you have no
match. When going out with strangers for a trip feels like a risk, when you can
but are tied down because of parents. When you have the money, but don’t want
to spend it alone.
Then you go to the bar, by yourself. Then you check all
events you would love to go, but everyone you know is elsewhere. Then you
select a date, and ask all your friends, and they don’t reply. Then there’s one
friend who wants to, but parents don’t allow. And another one who doesn’t want
to come without ‘the one’. Then there’s another friend who fights over cheap
stay or an expensive one – The budget guru. There’s also an adviser, the trip
spoiler, the know it all.
Then you think to yourself, “Fuck these guys!”, and hit it
off, alone, with the unknown to the unknown.
You find calmness and bliss. Nothing worries you. You miss
no one. In fact you wish they weren’t here. In fact, you wish to be without
them. You meet new people, not necessarily have to befriend them. But it’s
okay, to have company in silence. You learn to enjoy by yourself. You then get
to understand yourself. You know yourself so well, what you like and don’t. Because
you have now grown some guts of your own, and you can decide on your own.
So do go alone. Somewhere, if not too far, be it near. Grow
some balls, don’t be too harsh on yourself. It’s good to scared sometimes. It’s
good to be by yourself sometimes.
You are not LONELY. You just seek COMPANY.
You are not LONELY. You are just by YOURSELF.
